All sessions are held online via a secure telehealth platform called Practice Better.
The frequency of one-on-one sessions varies, but for most people it will be weekly or every other week. Potentially less often for longer term clients. The frequency of our meetings will depend on what your personal goals for nutrition counseling. Single Nutrition Questions are typically one-off, but some people may want to book multiple of these types of sessions over time. Lab Interpretation and Improvement Plan sessions are typically twice a year, but some people, especially competitive athletes, may chose to do this type of session more often to ensure they are in an optimal zone before key competitions.
Initial sessions are 60-80 minutes. Follow-ups are 45-60 minutes. Your first one-on-one session with me will always be an Initial Session unless you’ve scheduled a Single Nutrition Question session or a Lab Interpretation and Improvement Plan session. You will be asked to fill out paperwork before your Initial session and before any Lab Interpretation and Improvement Plan session to make sure the session is as beneficial and comprehensive as possible for you. Single Nutrition Question sessions are 30 minutes. Lab Interpretation and Improvement Plan sessions vary, but are typically 45 minutes. Discovery calls are 15 minutes.
You don’t have to be vegan, vegetarian, plant-based, and/or an athlete to work with me! Those are my passion areas, but I am able to help with a variety of concerns, goals, and lifestyles. And I’ll never pressure you to go plant-based in session! I’m all about meeting clients where ever they are! 🙂
I am currently able to work with clients in the following states due to state licensure laws: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, and Wyoming. I can also work with clients in other countries. If you live in a state not on this list, feel free to still reach out as I may be able to work with you in the near future or give you a referral.
Stand-alone initial one-on-one sessions are $200 and stand-alone follow-up sessions are $150. You will save money if you purchase sessions as a package of 8, 12, 16, 24 sessions, or a custom package made just for you. Packages are encouraged because the best results come from a commitment over time! Plus packages allow for optional lab interpretation and improvement plans, optional meal plans, and optional fuel plans at no additional cost. These can also be purchased as stand-alone offerings for session to session clients and non-clients. Existing packages will have the option to add on additional sessions or another package if you want to work together longer. We do not have to meet weekly- timing will be up to you. Single Nutrition Question sessions are $75. Lab Interpretation and Improvement Plan sessions are $250. Discovery calls are free.
Not at this time, but I am hoping to in the near future! For now, I can provide you a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. You may also be able to use your HSA card, but always confirm with them that this is a covered service.
You can pay directly with a debit, credit, or HSA card through Practice Better. Again, it is your responsibility to confirm with your HSA if nutrition services are covered. Payment is due at booking. Payment plans are available for packages and on a case-by-case basis.
