Amanda is especially passionate about preventing and recovering from REDs in athletes. You are also welcome to work with her if you aren’t plant-based! Individual 1:1 Appointments

Meet 1:1 with a Registered Dietitian that specializes in plant-forward nutrition and sports nutrition. 100% custom plan, just for you and your unique needs. This includes guidance on grocery shopping, stocking your pantry, meal/snack ideas, fuel planning for athletes, and more. You’ll leave each session with game plan!

What’s Included:

  • A 80-90 minute initial session.
  • A variable number of follow-up sessions (typically 45-60 minutes).
  • Guidance on grocery shopping, stocking your pantry, meal/snack ideas, fuel planning for athletes, and more.
  • Unlimited access to your dietitian via a private client portal, so you always feel supported.
  • The ability to upload documents, journal, access handouts, and send your dietitian messages in the private client portal.

We take insurance! Plans accepted include BCBS and UHC. Most clients have found their appointments to be fully covered and do not have a copay! We also offer Superbills and payment plans for those paying out of pocket due to having a different insurance plan.

Custom Meal Planning

Current 1:1 clients can receive custom meal plans and recipe ideas as an optional add-on to our work together. There is also the option for non-clients to buy a customized meal plan or recipe book that takes into account your unique needs for any desired length of time by contacting me. All types of eaters are welcome, not just plant-based people!

  • Meal plans that takes into account your unique preferences and needs. This includes your ability level in the kitchen, time you can dedicate to cooking, and more.

Custom Competition Fuel Plan

Current 1:1 clients can receive a custom race/ competition fueling plan as an optional add-on. Current 1:1 clients also receive ongoing sports nutrition support because you need to fuel your training, not just race day! Non-clients can buy a customized competition or race fuel plan by contacting me.

What’s Included:

  • A custom fuel plan for an upcoming competition or race.
  • The ability to ask questions/go over the fuel plan on one 45-60 minute zoom or phone call.
  • Receive the plan via email after your call OR opt to only get the plan via email.
  • Suggestions on how to practice your fueling plan in your training before the big day.
  • Suggestions on sports nutrition products and education around their uses.

I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) that specializes in plant-based eating, sports nutrition, and the intersection of the two. I am an avid runner and former division 1 cross country/ track athlete. I am on a mission to show others that you can be successful in athletics and life fueled by plants. You are also welcome to work with me if you aren’t plant-based or an athlete. I will never pressure you to go plant-based in session

Frequently asked questions

Most sessions are held online via a secure telehealth platform called Practice Better. If you are local to Chicago, IL and prefer in-person appointments, I have limited in-person availability. Contact me to set up an in-person meeting.

The frequency of one-on-one sessions varies, but for most people it will be weekly or every other week. Likely less often for longer term clients. The frequency of our meetings will depend on what your personal goals for nutrition counseling.

Initial sessions are 80-90 minutes. Follow-ups are typically 45-60 minutes, but some clients (especially longer term ones) may only need 30 minute follow-ups. Your first one-on-one session with me will be an Initial Session unless you’ve scheduled a stand-alone offering like a Custom Competition Fuel Plan session. You will be asked to fill out paperwork before your first session to make sure the session is as beneficial and comprehensive as possible for you.

No, you don’t have to be vegan, vegetarian, plant-based, and/or an athlete to work with me! I am able to help with a variety of concerns, goals, and lifestyles. And I’ll never pressure you to go plant-based in session! I’m all about meeting clients where ever they are!

While telehealth has increased the ease of receiving care across the United States and I am a nationally certified Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), the rules and regulations for dietitians and licensure vary by state. I am currently able to work with clients in the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, South Carolina, and Virginia. If you live in a state not on this list, feel free to still reach out as the regulations vary by state and they may change, or I will do my best to give you a referral.

I am in network with many BlueCross BlueShield (BCBS) and United Healthcare (UHC) plans. In-network coverage depends on your insurance plan and state. I will bill your insurance for you, however, you are responsible to know and understand your benefits. If you do not have BCBS or UHC, I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement upon request. You may also be able to use your HSA card, but always confirm with them that this is a covered service.

For self-pay clients, initial one-on-one sessions are $250 and follow-up sessions are $150. I can also make custom package of sessions made just for you as a self-pay client upon request. Unlimited in-app messaging and food/mood/exercise review log review and messaging support between sessions is also included.

You can pay directly with a debit, credit, or HSA card through Practice Better. Again, it is your responsibility to confirm with your HSA if nutrition services are covered. Payment is due at booking. Payment plans are available for packages and on a case-by-case basis.

Current clients have the ability to receive customized meal plans as an optional add on. Non-clients (people who are not working with me one-on-one) can purchase customized meal plans by contacting me.
