Reflecting On One Year As A Registered Dietitian

I can’t believe I’ve been a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for a year now (since December 28, 2022)! 🤯

And what a year it’s been! 😮‍💨 It has been one of the most stressful, but also fulfilling years of my life. If you had asked me a year ago where I thought I’d be in December 2023 I would have not guessed correctly. 😅 This year had some speed bumps & pivots, but it has also been good!

I’m so proud of myself for stepping outside my comfort zone numerous times! From writing & contributing to articles, to speaking engagements, to leading groups, to sharing my story in the hopes that it could help others, to becoming a UESCA Certified Running Coach, & everything in between. I really have given my heart to this 2nd career as a dietitian. 🥺

I’ve always wanted to be a dietitian business owner, but I wanted to do so later in my career. But I’ve been told if you wait until you’re ready you’ll never be ready. 🙈 So when the unexpected opportunity to open my private practice presented itself, I jumped in headfirst at my husband’s encouragement. It was scary, stressful, & a bit lonely at first. 😣 But also exciting! 🤩I would not have gotten through the scary parts without my fellow dietitian friends & mentors + all my supportive family & friends! You all know who you are! ♥️

And now a few months later, I feel like I’m in getting into a rhythm! I am so excited to see what 2024 will bring! From my private practice, leading groups & opportunities in Lauren Sharifi’s practice, taking on run coaching clients (more info coming ASAP 😉), & whatever else, I’m excited to see what year ✌️ as a dietitian holds for me!

Thanks for supporting me! 🥰 And if you want some support with your nutrition & wellness goals, I have a few openings in January, so please contact me or schedule a Discovery Call if you are interested! And if you’re looking for a running coach, also feel free to reach out or stay tuned for an announcement VERY soon! ☺️
